About Ava

My
Story
Hello!
My name is Ava Langford, and I am a sophomore at the University of Texas at Austin. I am pursuing a degree in the field of economics and a minor in French Studies. Previously at my alma mater, Frisco High School, I was enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Program, where I utilized my skills in IB Mathematics Analysis and Approaches HL and IB Psychology SL to conduct research and analyze behavioral trends of society. Through my alma mater, I was able to research about financial, behavioral, and political economics. In the future, I aspire to study law and pursue a career as an attorney, though I have not yet determined a specific area of specialization. Outside of work, I enjoy teaching taekwondo and having fun with my friends! Despite the demands of school increasing, I value work-life balance and allocate time to my passion, learning more about economics and politics!

My Mission Statement
Through my independent study, I want to create a portfolio of foundational knowledge of economics to help me better organize and discover the field. With guidance from my mentor, I wish to gain more knowledge about the professional financial world and explore different roles to succeed in my goal. By researching and being involved in this field, I will utilize my passion for creating relationships, gaining experience, and increasing my knowledge about the political economic world.
