Stagnant Weathers

Since I have focused my research on climate change, I have focused my research on bioenergy and sustainability policies. I have learned that continuous reflection on the methods that we can reduce carbon emissions is important. For example, if we switch grain-based ethanol, biofuel produced by purifying the process of fermenting starches into alcohol, to residue-based bioenergy, bioenergy produced from organic waste, or cellulosic ethanol, ethanol produced from the fibrous part of plant material, we can lower the cost of the alternatives and promote the adaptation of bioenergy sources with higher greenhouse gas offsets. Thus, I have wondered exactly what type of policies are being made in order to promote sustainable practices in private and public sectors.

As I am researching my original work, I expect to face challenges in understanding and undercovering different actions that certain cities or areas of the world choose or choose not to take. Although climate change policies are a vague topic, I wish to keep on researching possible routes that my original work can focus on in order to be successful in the future. I will continue reaching out to professionals to gain their insights on my research, and will learn more about global and local policy changes in response to climate change. Although I was successful in my research this week, I expect to continue my work and expand my knowledge for the next weeks to come.
