Update on the Weather

Although ISM is focused on independent study and mentorship, at this moment, I have not found a mentor yet. However, I have conducted a few interviews. I have realized that independent study is difficult to do with a busy schedule; however, one step at a time, it can be helpful in the grand scheme of education. ISM has motivated me to start projects that I would not have been able to do myself, pushing myself to continue researching and exploring different fields in economics. 

I plan to study economics during university and hopefully continue my research. At this period of time, even though I do not have a mentor, I am to continue to reach out to professionals, not only by emailing but also by calling in the hopes of gaining insights into both their profession and my final product. During spring break, I plan to focus on ISM, updating my website so I can send samples of my work to professionals, and contacting different individuals to improve my work. 

Contacting individuals is a difficult process; it takes time for the recipient to meet with a student to talk about their project. One skill that I have learned that this class will test is resilience and perseverance. Even though success is difficult to achieve, I plan to still continue and try so I can remain successful in the final presentation night.
