Just like how grass grows, as each day passes, I grow my knowledge of economics. Since my last research, I have designed and created my digital portfolio, organizing my rampant thoughts and further structuring my research. My digital portfolio houses the research assessments, blogs, and interviews that I have and will execute. Thus, I can research and explore more topics that interest me. Furthermore, I have planned out the methodology for my original work and am submitting a proposal that I will follow. I am planning to execute a research paper along with a graphic. The research paper serves as my understanding of knowledge, while the graphic allows others to easily understand the findings and concepts of my paper. More specifically, I chose to relate my research of local and global economies with climate change policies in order to let others understand the significance of economics and how it is intertwined with all aspects of life, even the environment.
However, I am concerned with the broad scope of my research. I am currently deciding between analyzing both global and local economies and only analyzing local economies. By analyzing local economies, I can be more in-depth with my research and potentially gather the information myself through collecting data. So, for this week, I am going to focus on researching basic knowledge on the relationship between climate change and economics, focusing more on the global picture to decide if I want to focus on the local (DFW metroplex) area.
